Q the heck am I, anyway?
I hold a B.A. in English and Journalism (concentration in Creative Writing) from the University of Maine (2019) with Highest Honors from the UMaine Honors College for my thesis: A House of Broken Chords, an original novel.
In the spring of 2018, I received second place in the University of Maine’s Grady Awards for Undergraduate Fiction for my short story, “Bodies of Goodbye” and was also awarded first and third places in the Steve Grady Awards for Communication and Journalism: Feature Writing. Spring of 2019, I was awarded second place in the Steve Grady Awards in Communication and Journalism: Feature Writing.
Since college, I worked at an education-access non-profit (2019-2024) in St. Louis, MO, serving three years with AmeriCorps and two years as a full-time staff member. Supporting community college students and helping them navigate their higher-education journeys is professional experience I’m deeply grateful for.
Currently, I can be found, well, here! I’m actively pursuing my writing aspirations and hope to be a published author. So, take a peek around and I hope you enjoy (especially if you’re a publishing agent😉)!
